Y'all want the truth about Skippers? My only complaint are their spoons. They'll cut up the side of your lips after a couple bites, but man, the food is dynamite! Me and my old man bought 2 #2's for 16.99 each that come with three battered fish pucks, fries, a cup of chowder, a 16 oz drink, and coleslaw. We had to wait about fifteen minutes, but hey, you've gotta wait if you want quality fresh food. The fish came out hot and was crispy and flavorful, the fries were crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, the slaw was surprisingly delicious with a sweet and savory flavor, but let's talk about the chowder for a moment. I describe it as more of a "clam gravy" more than chowder, but I licked my bowl clean it was so good. Also, dipping the fries and fish in the chowder is a complete game changer, I do recommend, but don't shy away from their tarter sauce which is genuinely some of the best tarter sauce I've had at a seafood joint up here. If you see a Skippers in your area or if you're just passing through and come across them on the map, I promise you won't regret stopping. The service is friendly and welcoming, the food is a hit, and the prices are fairly reasonable too. Great job, guys 👏
